Kalpana Piradeepan achieves Islamic Finance Qualification award

A member of our Governance Services team has achieved the top grade in a leading professional qualification programme.

Kalpana Piradeepan, Director in the Jersey Client Accounting team of Mourant Governance Services, achieved the highest grade globally in the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment‘s (CISI) Islamic Finance Qualification exam in 2025.

CISI is a global professional body that sets the standards of professional excellence across a broad range of financial services disciplines. For over 30 years, it has been championing integrity, raising individual standards of knowledge, skills and behaviour in the UK and internationally, and working to enhance public confidence in financial services.

Kalpana collected her award at the CISI Awards Ceremony in London on 28 April 2026. This annual ceremony celebrates the highest-scoring candidates across all CISI’s exam categories.

This latest success follows Josie Ewing from Mourant Governance Services’ Jersey Client Services team recently being awarded the IFA Level 5 Financial Reporting and Governance Prize for achieving the highest result in the November 2025 exam session.

International Finance and Administration (IFA) qualifications are awarded by the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland, a membership body which has been assuring world class standards of governance since 1891.
