Recognised as somebody already making a significant impact on the profession, Joelle’s award reflects the integrity, initiative and commitment she brings to everything she does. In just over a year with MourantGS in London, she has become a trusted and dependable member of the team, supporting complex multi-jurisdictional transactions, helping clients navigate high-pressure deadlines and consistently demonstrating exceptional attention to detail.

Her promotion to Senior Administrator this year is testament to the impact she has already made, while her willingness to support colleagues, mentor junior team members and share knowledge demonstrates the leadership qualities that will help shape the future of governance.

Priscila Santos – Governance Ambassador Award

This award recognises those people who influence positive outcomes and champion governance as a driver of organisational success. Based in Mourant’s London office, Priscila is a worthy recipient of this award as she exemplifies the role governance professionals play in strengthening decision-making, improving processes and creating lasting value for clients and colleagues alike.

Edward Thorogood – Governance Tech Innovation Award

This award recognises those committed to modernising governance through technology and innovation. By helping teams embrace digital solutions, improve processes and use technology in practical and meaningful ways, we continue to demonstrate how governance can evolve and adapt while maintaining the highest professional standards.

Ed and his team of professionals are at the heart of this, and their work is helping position governance as a forward-looking, value-adding function that embraces innovation to deliver better outcomes.

MourantGS UK – Governance Impact – Large Team Award

This award is recognition of the outstanding work delivered by the UK governance team and the commercial value that excellent governance creates. What began in 2019 as a single individual supporting two clients has grown into a team of 23 professionals working across a diverse portfolio of clients and structures.

The judges recognised a team that acts as a genuine extension of clients’ businesses, delivering seamless support across offices, disciplines and external stakeholders. Whether supporting clients through the implementation of new regulation, or proactively identifying regulatory and tax risks before they become issues, the team consistently demonstrates how governance can protect value, manage risk and support commercial success.
