Paul Martin

Overview

I’m part of the Finance and Corporate team at Mourant Ozannes (Jersey) LLP.

I advise global corporate and financial institutions on a wide range of transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, schemes of arrangement, IPOs (including SPACs), listings on The International Stock Exchange, corporate restructuring and joint ventures.

My practice also includes advising on banking transactions, investment grade and high-yield bonds, structured finance and general offshore structuring work.

I joined Mourant Ozannes in Jersey in 2008 and became a Partner of Mourant Ozannes LP (now Mourant LP) in February 2015. Prior to this, I worked in the Corporate team at PwC Legal in London.

• Informa plc in relation to its £3.9bn takeover of UBM plc
• Shire plc in relation to the aborted £32bn takeover by AbbVie Inc
• FTSE 250 group Charter International plc in relation to its £1.5bn public takeover by Colfax Corporation
• Vallar plc and Vallares plc (now Genel Energy plc) on their respective IPOs on the main market of the London Stock Exchange and the subsequent acquisition of a substantial operating business
• Each of Informa plc, Beazley plc, WPP plc and Vallar plc in relation to the introduction of a new holding company by Jersey scheme of arrangement
