Jonathan Rigby has been re-elected as Global Managing Partner of Mourant for another four year term.
Jonathan has been Managing Partner of the offshore legal and governance services provider since 2008. His fourth consecutive term will take effect from January next year.
Jonathan commented: "It's a great privilege to continue to lead the firm and I'd like to thank the partners for placing their trust in me. I'm looking forward to working closely with our newly elected Senior Partner, Jonathan Speck, and the rest of the partnership, to develop and implement the next iteration of our strategy."
Jonathan Speck, Mourant Senior Partner, added: "I'm delighted to be working with Jon. He's passionate about our clients, our people and our business and brings incredible energy and vision to the role of Managing Partner. His experience will be invaluable as we steer the firm through this period of global disruption and uncertainty."
Jonathan Rigby joined Mourant in 1998 and was admitted as a Partner in 2003. Between 2003 and 2006, he managed the firm's London office through a period of significant growth to become one of the largest offshore practices in the City. As Managing Partner, he led the largest merger in the offshore legal market and the opening of new offices in the Caribbean and Asia. He has also overseen the launch and development of MourantGS, the firm's associated governance services business, which over the last five years has delivered compound annual growth in revenue of 34%.
Prior to joining Mourant, Jonathan was a banking lawyer at CMS in London.
