Mourant appoints new Jersey Head of Property

Leading offshore law firm and governance services business, Mourant, has appointed Julie Melia as Head of Property in a move that complements the firm's strategy of delivering a range of strategic services to key clients and businesses based in Jersey.

Julie will join Mourant in early October to lead what is regarded as one of the most experienced property teams in Jersey.

Mourant Jersey Managing Partner, Daniel Birtwistle, said: "We've been working with the team over the last few months to redirect our strategy and approach, focusing a growing percentage of time on advising on and securing new commercial property and development work and partnering with our market-leading Finance & Corporate Group to support property elements of Jersey transactions, or property mandates for related, significant client relationships."

Julie has over two decades experience and is well known within Jersey's property market. She specialises in all areas of Jersey property including commercial acquisitions and leases, development schemes, planning issues, mergers and acquisitions and property finance.
